About me
***Bookings are not available in 2025 due to illness***
I am a registered clinical psychologist who works with adults of all cultures with a wide variety of difficulties including anxiety, depression and stress. You will find me warm, non-judgmental and dedicated to finding what works best for you. I always approach my work with energy, creativity and a sense of fun. Diversity is welcome in my practice.
When I work with you, it is a bit like I have access to a bunch of recipes for solving problems that researchers have discovered and tested to make sure they work. I help you figure out which recipe works so that you can live your own best life. You already have all the ingredients in your pantry, but sometimes you may need new skills or a little help to figure out how to apply those you already have to solving problems. I am committed to using therapy techniques and strategies that have been properly tested and found to work; like Cognitive Behavioural therapy, EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Schema therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Interpersonal therapy, Ideal Parent Protocol hypno-therapy (for attachment difficulties), and Mindfulness. Neurobiological and body-based approaches to emotional stabilisation.
Qualifications
Master of Clinical Psychology (MAPS)
Registered with AHPRA
Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) - first class
Diploma in information technology

Cancellation/No Shows To allow enough time to book in a client from the wait list, please let me know before 10am on the business day BEFORE your appointment, by SMS in response to your reminder. I reserve the right to charge a fee for non-attendance or late notice, which is two thirds of the cost of a standard appointment, payable before attending any further appointments. I never charge this fee if I have been able to fill the appointment. Booking an appointment ***Bookings are not available in 2025 due to illness*** Date of return My date of return and the extent to which I will be able to re-enter my therapeutic career is unclear and I have been advised to take things one step at a time, and avoid making predictions or commitments. For this reason I'm outlining the following options to enable you and your medical team to make decisions about your care: New clients, clients who have only met me a handful of times, and existing clients with complex cases and a pressing need for consistent care Please return to your GP to discuss a referral to another practitioner who is available to meet your needs for therapy. Skilled therapists can be found using the APS - "find a therapist" service, as well as the EMDR association website. Existing clients without a pressing need for therapy I will post an update towards the end of 2025. Unfortunately, I won't be able to answer individual questions, and my email [email protected] will have an automated 'out of office' reply similar to this one. Please take care of yourself and involve your team in your care rather than waiting. If you are undecided, let your doctor help you make the decision. If you or your loved one are in crisis, please contact mental health triage on 131 465. For someone to talk to at any time of the day or night, contact Lifeline on 131 114.
